“Ethanol-Powered Car Set to Debut on August 29th, Central Minister Nitin Gadkari to Unveil”
Nitin Gadkari, the central minister for roads and highways, plans to introduce the Toyota Innova vehicle fueled entirely by ethanol on August 29. The Central Minister is urging automakers to release green and alternative fuel automobiles. He introduced the Toyota Mirai EV, a hydrogen-powered vehicle, last year. Gadkari reportedly said, according to PTI, “On August 29, I am going to launch a popular (Toyota) Innova car running on 100% ethanol.” This was during an event in Delhi. The first BS-VI (Stage-II) electrified flex fuel vehicle will be this vehicle.

Gadkari said he became interested in biofuels when India’s gasoline costs rose in 2004, which prompted him to investigate biofuels in an effort to lessen the nation’s reliance on petroleum. He stressed that biofuels can be quite effective and help save a lot of money that would otherwise be spent on importing petroleum.
“If we want to become self-sufficient, we need to reduce this oil import to zero,” he said. It is currently 16 lakh crores of rupees. This represents a huge economic loss.
(Take note that 2.15 trillion USD is about comparable to “16 lakh crore rupees”).
“He emphasized that India must adopt even more sustainable solutions and emphasized that pollution is a serious problem in the nation. He said, “We have implemented numerous sustainable initiatives, but more must be done as a result of the pollution issue. Environment and climate are of vital importance. Pollution in the air and water must be decreased. We face a significant problem and must safeguard our ecosystem and environment.
“He also indicated that the Dwarka Expressway and other road projects totaling 65,000 crore rupees are anticipated to be finished by the end of the year.
He emphasized the negative consequences of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, saying that they can cause illnesses like cancer. He thought that organic farming could produce enough of resources and help us move toward sustainability.
He remarked, ‘We need to educate people to turn waste into wealth.’ He also voiced optimism that logistics costs would drop from the present 14–16% to 9% with greater highway building.
